On Sunday night, the (9-7) CAU women's volleyball team took on a (15-6) Edward Waters team that was coming off a big win against Allen University. The Panthers looked to bounce back with a win after a tough loss against Savannah State University. The Panthers shined bright Sunday afternoon with a 3-0 win over the Tigers at Clark Atlanta's Epps Gymnasium.
The Panthers made quick work of the Tigers as they won the first set (25-17), as well as the second set (25-21) and the final set to secure the victory (25-23).
The Panthers were led by Kia Thomas' 8 kills and setter Amirah Bentley and Outside hitter Jalen Dickerson's seven kills. Amirah Bentley also led the game in assists for the Panthers, providing 16, and libero Tiana Crider led the Panthers in digs with 14.
The (10-7) Panthers will look to add another win to the win column as they head down to Albany State University on Tuesday to take on the (10-7) Golden Rams.
