Breonna Taylor Case Update

By Kenyatta Coleman

After the wait of over 100 days for the justice of Breonna Taylor, the police officers involved were charged for wanton endangerment, which is a class D felony, the lowest of the four-class felonies.

The city of Louisville, Kentucky, declared a state of emergency before the decision of Taylor’s case, which caused raised the eyes of the people on social media.

After the decision was made public, the world went into an uproar of protests and a frenzy on social media.

“The most DISRESPECTED person on earth is THE BLACK WOMAN! I promise you I’ll do my best to change this as much as I can and even more!! LOVE to you QUEENS all over this country and beyond!” LeBron James tweeted.

The anger that has fueled the citizens of America is now at an all-time high. During protests, two Louisville police officers were shot and injured throughout the chaos of the people.

This period has shown us that the fight for change, especially for black women, must come. The people have made it a priority to “Say Her Name,” and now the test has genuinely begun to keep the name of Breonna Taylor alive.
